Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, has commenced the second edition of ATICON 2025, a significant academic event organized by the Departments of Respiratory Medicine and Thoracic Surgery. The three-day conference, to be held at Apollo Hospitals, Vanagaram between 23rd and 25th May, brings together leading Pulmonologists, Thoracic surgeons, and academic experts from across India to explore advancements in interventional pulmonology and thoracic surgery.
Dr. C.M.K. Reddy, renowned senior surgeon and Chief Guest of the event, inaugurated the sessions. A highlight of the conference is the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Rajan Santosham, one of India’s most respected thoracic surgeons, recognized for his immense contributions to the field and for mentoring generations of thoracic surgeons nationwide.

ATICON 2025 features hands-on workshops covering key areas such as Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Thoracoscopy, and Robotic- and Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (RATS and VATS). Over 85 pulmonologists across India are participating in the workshops, supported by 20 distinguished faculty members with extensive expertise in thoracic interventions.
